Question:are these sturdy?

Answer:The tray is plenty sturdy and has a solid strip that hugs the floor so everything goes in the pan. The brush is excellent - note the 2 colors of the bristles, the light ones at the end are stiffer so if something is stuck on the floor it will free it. The brush is key and this is excellent. I also have a Rubbermaid I paid a lot more for but the bristles bend too much and launch most of what I'm trying to clean up all over the kitchen.

Question:are the brush bristles soft?

Answer:The brown colored bristles are harder than the black colored ones. I found it helpful combination to brush off stuck dirt.Depends on what you are looking for.
